Quick Shifts and Counterweights

Short Shift Kits

Sometimes known as Quick shifters, these reduce the amount of gear lever movement required in the fore and aft plane and sometimes in the left to right plane depending on the particular kit.  The reduction in movement is achieved by altering the length of the under-bonnet shift rods.

Counterweight Shafts

These work in conjunction with the short shifter to assist in the gear change process.  The inertia of the specially calibrated weight makes every gear change smoother, faster, less notchy and far less effort.
